Online Ballet classes for Adult dancers, including ‘Ballet for Wellbeing’
Live, interactive ballet sessions one-to-one or small groups, at a time that suits you, wherever you are in the world. One-off, regular or occasional.
‘Dance is for life…’
Once you have joined a ballet class you enter into an art form that gradually takes roost in your soul - with an international, familiar language and a worldwide community of millions who share your ambition and enjoyment.
It is a wonderful fact that, if you are a dancer, you can walk into a ballet class anywhere in the world and you will immediately know what the general format of the class is going to be, and what is expected of you.
There is something very joyful about returning to the ballet class after a break of months or even years. Taking part in a ballet class feels familiar, like putting on a favorite pair of cosy slippers. I often see adults return to the studio, having stopped ballet lessons as a child or teenager - and the practised technique is still there - waiting to be woken up and enjoyed again!
There may be some initial frustration that the level of flexibility or strength has waned, but with a change in expectations returning dancers can once again enjoy the physical demands of the ballet class and bring about a sense of wellbeing through focussed thought (mindfulness) and movement.
I have over 20 years’ experience teaching adult dancers, whether beginner or returning, and include floor exercises, barre work and centre work in my sessions to focus on poise, posture, strength, flexibility and fitness.
My ‘Ballet for Wellbeing’ classes are set at a more gentle pace, with mature dancers in mind.
I can help you return to ballet and once again experience the joy of dance.
