Whether you are the parent of a young child who would like to try ballet for the first time, or an adult beginner who has always dreamed of taking a ballet class, I can provide a friendly space for you to take your first steps.

Beginner ballet lessons for Children

I have over 40 years’ experience of encouraging girls and boys to explore movement and musicality through classical ballet. Using steps and exercises from the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi and my own bank of child-friendly sequences, stories, and music we will discover the basics of ballet technique together and form strong classical foundations on which to build.*

Recommended class length -

Age 5-6 30 minutes

Age 7-8 45 minutes

Age 9 and over 60 minutes

*Please note - parent or named carer supervision is required for all my children’s classes delivered online.

Beginner ballet lessons for Adults

I have found over the years that many adults have an inner dream of taking ballet classes - there is a hidden dancer within! ANYONE can dance, and it is my job as a teacher to encourage the under-confident dancer to take their first steps into the world of classical ballet.

Using beautiful classical music to inspire movement and artistry I will guide you through the basic positions, steps and emotions of the ballet class.

The only equipment you need to unlock your new skill is a small space to move in, a chair to act as a barre, comfy clothing with thick socks or simple ballet pumps and the ‘Zoom’ app installed on your device.

Together, we will DANCE!

*Initial bookings include an additional 10-15 minute ‘meet and greet’ period at the start of the class, to check meeting settings and device set-up.
