Remember to wear your diamond necklace for class!

One little tip to think about as you move about your day and take part in your Adult ballet classes…

Have you paid attention to the line of your shoulders lately?

Naturally, the edges of our shoulders curve forwards, giving us a rounded shoulder line and encouraging the upper back to fall forwards slightly.

To counter this, and to make the back straighter and more upright, think of the outer edges of the shoulders opening back slightly, to create a straight line from one edge to the other (think of a coat hanger being pulled straight).

(No ‘pinching’ the shoulderblades though - we’re not intending to thrust the chest forwards!!)

Imagine you’re wearing a diamond necklace, and rather than hiding the gem away you want to show it off, for all to see.

By doing this, you will feel taller, more poised and more confident.

Try it, and see!
